About the job
Grants in DRC: Somalia Grants Unit mandate is to support colleagues across DRC field office in efficient and effective grants management, ultimately aiming at timely and high-quality assistance. While daily grants management is centered at the field, the person will provide a layer of support and oversight of the whole country portfolio ensuring that reports are being coordinated, and documents are correctly stored.
Purpose of the role: it aims to support the Grants Management Unit in Somalia CO in coordinating reports, documentation is properly archive and any other ad-hoc tasks that the Unit might request.
Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision and coordination of the GM, the intern will coordinate incoming internal reports and external. Making sure templates are right and deadlines are set.
- Take part in portfolio review meetings to discuss the status of implementation of projects and develop the Rolling Action Plan of reporting. Following up on status with other internal colleagues.
- Follow up on key actions from the Grants Review Meetings (GRM) with the relevant teams and take minutes;
- Support GM developing infosheets, power points etc. for kick off and close out of projects.
- Ensure Grants folder on SharePoint is up to date: with proposals, budgets, contracts/agreements, reports, checklists, installments, donor communication and other relevant project documents;
- Ensure existing grants management tools are regularly updated ie. Grants Tracker
- Review successful stories, formatting and editing. Translating if possible.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have: –
- Is enrolled at a university for a relevant education
- Has completed a minimum of two years of higher education.
- Interested in working with an international NGO, UN agency or in humanitarian response setting.
- Basic familiarity with MS application packages (Word, Excel and database software) and willingness to develop further.
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment and interests grants and business development projects.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for employees on national Contracts.
