Position: System Administrator
Location: Mogadishu, Somalia
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-site

Position Summary
NIRA is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled System Administrator to oversee and support the organization’s IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining system performance, ensuring cybersecurity, and providing technical assistance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and IT systems.

• Monitor system performance and ensure high levels of availability and security.

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly.

• Implement security measures, backup procedures, and disaster recovery plans.

• Provide timely technical support to staff and end-users.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of system configurations and procedures.

• Collaborate with other departments to support evolving IT needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in system and network administration.

• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, security protocols, and system maintenance.

• Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues efficiently.

• Familiarity with Windows/Linux environments, server management, and virtualization tools.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are an added advantage.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
