Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Construct and install wooden frameworks and structures, ensuring precision to support concrete and other materials.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately shape and size materials for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timelines are met and quality standards are upheld.
  • Measure and cut wood and other materials to specified dimensions, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Assemble and disassemble forms for concrete pouring, ensuring stability and safety during the curing process.
  • Inspect and maintain tools and equipment, addressing any issues to ensure optimal performance on-site.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and minimize hazards.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior carpenters and apprentices, fostering skill development within the team.
  • Adhere to project specifications and local building codes to ensure compliance and quality in all work.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
  • Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations, ensuring high accuracy in work.
  • Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and perform demanding tasks on-site.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during construction projects promptly.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to specifications.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at heights, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
