The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) invites qualified and eligible bidders to submit their proposals for the supply and installation of pipeline extension, pipe, cable, solarization, and fencing for the newly drilled borehole in Lafaweyne Village, Sool Region, Puntland, Somalia.
The objective of this project is to ensure the provision of sustainable water supply through the installation of solar-powered pumping systems, pipeline extensions, and protective fencing.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The tender is open to legally registered companies in Somalia with valid documentation.
- Bidders must demonstrate technical capacity, financial stability, and past experience in similar works.
- Compliance with NRC’s ethical standards is mandatory.
Scope of Work
- Supply and installation of a solar-powered pumping system.
- Extension of water pipeline to designated areas.
- Installation of galvanized steel fencing for borehole protection.
- Construction of a water distribution chamber.

Bidders can submit their proposals using the following methods:

- Bidders must request the ITB document by sending their company profile and business registration certificate to procurement@nrc.org.
2. Email Submission (Optional)
- Send your bid to tenderbox@nrc.org.
- This is a sealed tender box; do not send any inquiries to this email.
- The subject of the email must be “ITB NRC/PL/1102364/2025 – Borehole Solarization”.
- All documents must be clearly labeled and submitted in PDF format.
- Ensure total email size does not exceed 25MB; if necessary, split into multiple emails.
- Do not copy any other NRC email addresses, as this will lead to bid disqualification.
Submission Deadline
All bids must be received no later than 11:59 PM, March 29, 2025.
