Structure:
This designation reports to the Maintenance Manager
Specific Accountabilities:
Practice safety at all times
Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, lighting systems, and power outlets in cabins, kitchens, restrooms, offices, and outdoor areas.
Operate and maintain Camp power generators and update the log books
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues for camp utilities, such as water pumps, HVAC units, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, and recreational equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on generators, circuit breakers, panels, and other electrical systems.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and camp regulations.
Respond quickly to emergency electrical problems to minimize downtime and safety risks.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
Work with maintenance teams (plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, grounds keeping) to ensure smooth camp operations.
Support sustainability and energy-saving initiatives (e.g., solar power, efficient lighting).
Provide guidance on safe electrical use to staff and report hazards immediately
Be available for emergency call-outs and support during power outages or urgent breakdowns.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the management
Educational and Experience Requirements:
At least 3 years similar work experience as an electrician; camp, resort, or remote facilities
Vocational/technical certification or diploma in Electrical Technology.
Knowledge of generators, solar systems, and backup power systems
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently in outdoor and remote environments.
Physically fit, with the ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in varied weather conditions.
Standard of spoken and written English
