Senior site engineer specializing in concrete, responsible for all aspects of concrete placement, curing, and quality on-site. Works alongside the Site Lead Engineer with equal
authority, ensuring concrete works receive focused technical leadership. Provides accountability, checks and balances, and supports sequencing of rebar and concrete works.
Responsibilities:
• Lead all on-site concrete works, including pour planning, sequencing, vibration, curing, and finishing.
• Approve pour schedules and sectioning to avoid cold joints and delays.
• Supervise and direct concrete finishing specialists and general site crew during pours.
• Coordinate rebar placement, formwork readiness, and site logistics before pours.
• Inspect and approve concrete deliveries in coordination with the batching expert.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and client QA/QC requirements.
• Report equally with the site lead engineer, maintaining accountability for all concrete-related outcomes.
• Provide technical input on concrete mix suitability, equipment requirements, and manpower needs.
• Train junior staff and masons in correct vibration and finishing practices.
Requirements:
• Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or significant senior-level experience in concrete-heavy projects.
• Minimum 7–10 years’ experience with structural concrete works.
• Strong knowledge of ACI, ASTM, or Eurocode standards for concrete.
• Intermediate to advanced English required for technical coordination and reporting.
• Strong leadership and ability to enforce discipline during critical pours.
