Job Description
DP World Berbera is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This critical role is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of our IT/OT network and server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of infrastructure best practices, and a proven track record of ensuring system reliability, performance, and security.
Key Accountabilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain the company’s IT/OT network and server infrastructure.
- Ensure infrastructure meets all required specifications for critical applications and services.
- Implement new infrastructure solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Actively troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Ensure infrastructure compliance with evolving cybersecurity regulations and best practices (e.g., OWASP, NIST, COBIT, ISO27001, DPW HO IT policies).
- Implement effective and accurate resolutions for IT security audit findings to remediate control weaknesses and improve overall cybersecurity posture.
- Conduct and resolve security audits on all IT infrastructure, systems, Operational Technology, and IoT (including network, databases, applications, cloud systems).
- Perform penetration testing, data loss prevention, and other security assessments.
- Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive IT security testing and audit programs.
- Clearly document and advise all findings and recommendations to Head of Information Technology and relevant business units.
- Work with Regional and Global Technology Teams to define and document IT Security control baselines for DPW Berbera.
- Stay current with the latest IT and cybersecurity industry trends and advancements through self-learning and active participation in relevant organizations (e.g., Cloud Alliance, SANS Security, OWASP, ISACA, ISC2, IT security forums, cybersecurity groups, seminars).
- Share best practices within the DPW Berbera terminal portfolio and with external entities.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with DPW IT Teams and leverage the global expert network to promote synergy within various DPW departments.
- Always Act as an ambassador for DP World Berbera, promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors aligned with DP World’s Our Principles, values, and culture.
- Ensure the highest level of safety is applied in all activities.
- Adhere to DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills
- Strong organizational, time management, decision making, and problem-solving skills
- Experience performing audits or assessments of information security programs, processes and controls is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in order to identify process improvement opportunities and potential solutions to operational issues.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written); must be able to communicate effectively with individuals at multiple levels and backgrounds across various business units, functions and regions within the company (including senior management).
- Strong project management, communication, collaboration, problem resolution and stakeholder management.
- Independently plan and complete work seeking guidance from Head of IT, Regional and Global IT Teams as needed.
- Consistently document relevant facts and information which support the work performed and effectively evaluate audit results, weighing the relevancy, accuracy, and perspective of conclusions against the accumulated audit evidence.
- Work with Group and Regional IT departments to promote best practice, IT policy compliance and consistent products and practice.
