EndoCare⁺ Centre is Somalia’s first specialized initiative focused on advancing endocrine and diabetes care. We’re developing a model of healthcare that combines expert outpatient services, public health education, and evidence-based research to combat non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as diabetes and obesity.
Our mission is to become a trusted center for endocrine and metabolic health by combining clinical leadership, health system thinking, and community-driven programs. We actively collaborate with local professionals, universities, and international organizations to raise awareness and improve health outcomes in Somalia.
Role Description
We are recruiting a passionate and driven Public Health Program Coordinator to join our team. This is a project-based contract role with a flexible hybrid setup (based in Mogadishu or remote with partial on-site work).
You will coordinate health awareness campaigns, support digital education efforts, and work closely with our clinical and digital teams to deliver impactful NCD focused outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement public health campaigns, webinars, and education programs
- Collaborate on content development (infographics, event posters, health materials)
- Communicate with participants, partners, and local organizations
- Help monitor and report on outreach, reach, and program impact
- Support event logistics and internal team coordination
- Represent EndoCare⁺ professionally in public health discussions or partnerships
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Interest in diabetes, endocrine health, or broader NCDs
- Basic knowledge of health program design, community engagement, or campaign planning
- Ability to work independently, remotely, and across time zones
- Somali language fluency is a plus
