Job Description:

 

Project Assistant- Food and Cash Assistance.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and all Food and Cash Assistance Programs implementation in the area of operation/region.
  • Co-ordinate with other Relief and Development Agencies, Local Authorities and Government   stakeholder in the district in ensuring that food security and development intervention strategies are targeted to the appropriate target population.
  • Participate Area Base Coordination (ABC) and other coordination meeting like clusters.
  • Co-ordinate and foster relations with other World Vision programs in the district as to ensure proper allocation and sharing of resources.
  • Support the Project Officer, Coordinator and Program Managers to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate approved activities as per programs design.
  • Mobilize the Beneficiaries on their entitlements, duration of the program, CFM numbers and provide feedback every month after cycle is release.
  • Implement and Provide update on Support for food and Cash Operations (SCOPE) process from registration to distribution.
  • Participate in market monitoring to identify food aid in the market and provide report.
  • Participate Beneficiaries registration process ensuring beneficiaries registration criteria is applied and most vulnerable HHs are targeted.
  • Follow up and support SCOPE issue raising from registration, enrolments, top ups and redemptions.
  • Ensure program compliance with accountability standards.
  • Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Skills and qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Community Development, Agriculture, Business Administration, public Health and Nutrition or related field
  • Technical training qualifications in Nutrition/ Community Development /Public Health desired.
  • Have technical skills in SCOPE process; registration, top ups and e-voucher transfer management.
  • Minim 4 years of experience in Food Security & Livelihoods or related field.
  • Knowledge of WFP Food and Cash Programs is must.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in both English and Somali language is must.
  • Ability to engage with local communities, partners and government authorities
  • Computer Literacy.

Working Environment:

The positions are field-based Hobyo and Galkacyo.
