Job Description

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities Logistics

 

  1. Ensure all procurement processes are in compliance with logistics handbook and donor requirements
  2. Preparation of RFQs, getting quotations, prepare bid analysis and upload POs.
  3. Liaise with suppliers to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods and services.
  4. Assist with Organizing of transport of materials according to procedures on a timely manner
  5. Manage inventory list for the Kismayo field offices and update when new items are bought
  6. Ensure accurate inventory reports are sent to the logistics Team Leader on a timely manner.
  7. Ensure there is a proper filing system for procurement documents for easier retrieval and when needed and also an archive for old documents.
  8. Facilitate the receiving and dispatching of supplies and project materials to the respective field offices on a timely manner.
  9. Fleet management.

Specific Responsibilities Administration

  1. Arrange for staff and visitor’s flight bookings, transport and accommodations.
  2. Ensure that the telephone bills, electricity and water bills are paid on time
  3. Ensure adequate inventory of office and guesthouse supplies and consumables
  4. Supervise the cleaners and cooks
  5. Receive all incoming supplies; inspect and verify for conformity to the order specifications and delivery notes.
  6. Ensure that all goods received are stored in assigned storage locations and handled as per NRC procedures of safety, security, accountability and transparency.
  7. Distribute materials, products, parts and supplies to field staff based on NRC procedure.
  8. Requisition, receive, record, distribute and maintain adequate inventory of office and guesthouse supplies and consumables.
  9. Ensure order and cleanliness of the offices and accommodation facilities.
  10. Any other duties assigned by your supervisor

Qualifications

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a recent graduate with a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Preference is given to candidates with higher academic achievements.

Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

We are particularly looking for a positive individual with strong communication skills, who can build trust and confidently navigate both internally and externally at different levels.

In this position you will join highly motivated and expert staff who are making a difference to the most vulnerable people.

Contract period:  6 months

Duty station: Kismayo
