Invitation to Bid: Consultancy Services for Capacity Building in Qualitative Research Training

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is inviting qualified consultancy firms to submit bids for the provision of capacity building in qualitative research training for the BRCiS Consortium MEL team based in Mogadishu, Somalia.
Scope of Work
The selected consultant will design and deliver two sessions of in-person training on qualitative research:

Session 1 (Foundational Skills): 4-day training for MEL field staff focusing on data collection, coding, and basic analysis.

Session 2 (Advanced Applications): 5-day training for senior MEL staff focusing on advanced research design, complex analysis, and reporting.
The consultancy also includes:

Inception report and training curriculum development

Post-training support and mentorship for three months after each session

Delivery of training materials and final training reports
Bid Requirements
Interested bidders must submit:

A cover letter introducing the consultancy team and roles

A technical proposal (max 10 pages) including methodology, curriculum, and timeline

Financial proposal in USD, including all logistics and consultancy fees

At least two relevant samples of past assignments

Company registration and tax compliance documents

Team members’ CVs showing at least 7 years’ experience and proficiency in NVivo/ATLAS.ti
-
Proof of experience working in similar humanitarian/development contexts
Eligibility Criteria
Only firms (not individuals or joint ventures) with:
-
Proven expertise in qualitative research and training
-
Experience with NGOs/UN agencies
-
Capacity to conduct interactive, practical trainings in Somalia
will be considered.
Submission Process
All bids must be submitted electronically via NRC’s digital procurement system by 6th August 2025 at 11:59 PM (EAT). Late submissions will not be considered.
Clarification requests must be sent by 31st July 2025, and NRC will respond by 4th August 2025.
