Location: On-Site, Various Countries (Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, Tunisia, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Ukraine)

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Project Lead and Head of MERL, ProLeap Development Group is establishing a roster of qualified Field Coordinators to support its monitoring, evaluation, and research activities across multiple countries. The shortlisted candidates will be contracted on a project basis and will become permanent researchers within ProLeap Development Group’s pool, contributing their expertise in research and data collection for humanitarian and development interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Research & Field Data Collection

  • Conduct independent, ethical, and high-quality data collection to assess the performance, accountability, and impact of funded programs.
  • Develop and refine qualitative and quantitative tools (e.g., surveys, KIIs, and focus group discussion guides) aligned with project objectives.
  • Carry out in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and field observations in alignment with ProLeap’s research methodologies.
  • Ensure ethical and context-sensitive data collection practices, particularly in fragile and conflict-affected environments.

Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Support

  • Support third-party monitoring (TPM) activities by tracking project progress and compliance with donor and programmatic guidelines.
  • Assist in the development of M&E frameworks and tools that align with project log frames and implementation plans.
  • Provide on-the-ground support for project monitoring visits, ensuring adherence to international humanitarian principles, including “Do No Harm”

Field Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with enumerators, local NGOs, authorities, and field teams to ensure effective data collection.
  • Train and support local field researchers and enumerators on data collection methodologies.
  • Work closely with community representatives, beneficiaries, and stakeholders to build trust and enhance data quality.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate project outcomes and impact.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing key findings, lessons learned, and actionable recommendations.
  • Present findings to stakeholders using data visualization and structured reporting formats.

Capacity Strengthening & Compliance

  • Assist in designing and facilitating training sessions on research methodologies, M&E tools, and ethical data collection practices.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical research standards, donor requirements, and international humanitarian frameworks such as the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS).
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to field teams and partners to enhance their capacity in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance mechanisms to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and validity of collected data.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in M&E, research ethics, and humanitarian compliance to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines to strengthen accountability and transparency in data management.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with significant field experience in research and monitoring will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in third-party monitoring, evaluation, or research, preferably in humanitarian and development contexts.
  • Prior experience working with UN agencies, international NGOs, or research institutions is a strong advantage.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing qualitative and quantitative data collection methodologies in different sectors.
  • Experience with mobile data collection platforms (KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills in English.
  • Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including local communities, donors, and implementing partners.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of local languages (e.g., Arabic, Pashto, Dari, Ukrainian, Somali) is essential based on the country of deployment.
