Job description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in power systems, solar PV, hybrid energy solutions, and synchronization systems. The role involves design, implementation, commissioning, and optimization of electrical and renewable energy systems while ensuring safety, reliability, and performance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and review as-built drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and control logic for electrical systems.
- Design, review, and implement on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid Solar PV systems.
- Integrate and manage Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Grid, and Generator Architectures.
- Perform energy yield calculations, system performance analysis, and loss assessments.
- Install, integrate, and commission inverters, meters, protection relays, generators, and BESS Controllers.
- Configure and commission synchronization systems (generator-to-generator, generator-to-grid, and Solar-to-grid).
- Implement and manage Automatic Synchronization Panels (ASP), load sharing, power factor control, and frequency regulation.
- Monitor system performance, analyze alarms, conduct root cause analysis, and propose corrective Actions.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, applicable codes, and best engineering practices.
- Apply strong technical and personal competencies, including power systems and protection Knowledge, experience with solar and synchronization controllers, ability to interpret electrical Drawings, effective communication in English, and the ability to work safely in both field and office Environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power, Automation, or Control Engineering is an added advantage).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in electrical engineering roles.
- Additional experience in solar PV, hybrid power systems, or power synchronization is highly desirable.
