Overview of position |
- As the Country Manager – Somalia, you will lead CTG’s operations in-country, driving growth, operational excellence, and client satisfaction. This role requires a dynamic leader with the ability to navigate complex environments, build strong relationships, and deliver results in a high-risk setting.
- You will be responsible for overseeing business development, operational efficiency, and financial health while leading a diverse team, ensuring compliance with local laws, and acting as the primary point of contact for clients, government authorities, and internal stakeholders. Your leadership will directly impact the success of CTG’s services and the well-being of our teams.

Role objectives |
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Delivery & Client Relations: Ensure high-quality service delivery in line with contractual agreements. Build strong, long-term client relationships and address any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Government & Regulatory Compliance: Establish and maintain relationships with local government authorities, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations. Advocate for CTG’s interests with local stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse in-country team, ensuring alignment with CTG’s values and strategic goals. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work culture.
- Duty-of-Care & Risk Management: Ensure the safety and well-being of CTG’s staff, especially in high-risk environments. Implement and monitor crisis management protocols and regularly assess security risks.
- Financial & Operational Oversight: Oversee the financial health of CTG’s operations, ensuring profitability, cost control, and accurate financial reporting. Collaborate with finance teams to streamline reporting processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Business Development: Identify and explore new business opportunities within the local market. Develop and implement strategies for market expansion, client acquisition, and service diversification, contributing to long-term growth and profitability.
- Strategic Growth & Networking: Work closely with the Regional Director and global teams to drive CTG’s strategic initiatives. Enhance CTG’s competitive position and market share through networking and innovative business strategies.

Key competencies |
- Education: University degree in Management, Political Science, International Relations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 8 years in managing operations, particularly in remote or high-risk environments. Proven leadership in team management, business development, and client relations.
- Languages: Fluent in English.
- Competencies: Strong leadership, financial acumen, crisis management, business development experience, and adaptability.
