📌 Background
The Ministry of Finance of North East State is recruiting a skilled and committed Budget Execution Officer to strengthen its Budget Department. The role is vital in ensuring that government resources are released, managed, and utilized in line with approved budgetary allocations and financial regulations.
📌 Duties & Responsibilities

Manage the release of funds to government departments and agencies.

Monitor expenditure commitments and ensure compliance with regulations.

Review and authorize requests for budget allotments and disbursements.

Track cash flows and ensure funds availability.

Maintain records and update the FMIS.
-
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual budget execution reports.
-
Identify budget execution challenges and recommend solutions.
-
Coordinate with line ministries and treasury.
-
Support budget adjustments and supplementary requests.

Ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity.
📌 Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.

Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience.

Knowledge of budgetary control systems and PFM regulations.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel essential).

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
