Job Description
Basic Job Requirements
High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and minimum of 15 years experience with 5 years experience as a Fire Chief, and/or Deputy Fire Chief or Assistant Fire Chief.
Other Job Requirements
May be assigned to a day shift or night shift. Environments can be from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions. All DoD military and civilian firefighters and employees of DoD contractors must be certified at the level for which they seek employment. Must have in-depth knowledge of DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification Program (DoDM 6055.06) or industrial/ municipal equivalent. Must have experience with the Army Emergency Management Program (DA PAM 525-27). To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. IFSAC OR PRO BOARD CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED: Must possess a standard issue civilian drivers license. Minimum Certification Requirements: Fire Officer IV, Fire Inspector III, Fire Instructor II, Hazardous Material Incident Commander, Airport Firefighter – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Fire Inspector III (Preferred), Fire Investigator (Preferred), Telecommunicator I and II (Preferred), Marine Firefighter – Only required at FandES departments without an aircraft firefighting mission, Wildland Firefighting – Only required at FandES departments with a wildland firefighting mission, as defined by the DoD.
