The Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa (SIHA) is a network of women rights civil society organizations from Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea , Ethiopia , Uganda, and, most recently, the coastal area of Kenya.
Established in 1995 by a coalition of women’s rights activists, SIHA exists to unlock the potential of women’s movement in the Greater Horn of Africa through research, advocacy & capacity strengthening.
Over the years, the regional network has grown substantially and is now comprised of over 100 member organizations.
