Global Initiative for Resilience and Development (GIRD) is a women-led, women-focused non-profit organization established in 2016. Legally registered in Kenya and Somalia, GIRD operates in Northern Kenya, including Tana River, Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, Moyale, and Isiolo, as well as in Somalia, covering the northern and southern regions, particularly in Puntland, Southwest, and Jubaland states
