Abaarso Network is a network of schools, located in Hargaisa , Somalia , an unrecognized country that has enjoyed peaceful transfers of power in democratically elected governments since it declared independence from Somalia in 1991. Abaarso is developing the next generation of Somali leaders, who will help develop their country. Abaarso Network includes a coed boarding high school with American accreditation; the only all-women university in Somaliland, and the first Montessori primary schools in the country.
