1. Background

T- TECH is a modern service and repair center specializing in electronic device maintenance, diagnostics, and technical support. The company provides comprehensive services including mobile repair, computer repair, CCTV services, game console repair, camera and drone maintenance, and retail of electronic accessories.

To meet increasing customer demand and maintain high service standards, T- TECH seeks to recruit a highly competent and versatile Multi-Skill Electronics Repair Technician capable of handling multiple technical domains independently. This position aims to strengthen the technical capacity of the center, improve repair efficiency, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services across all device categories.

Objectives

The primary objective of this role is to deliver end-to-end technical repair services across all T- TECH departments. The technician will diagnose, repair, test, document, and maintain a wide variety of electronic devices, ensuring professional standards, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

SCOPE OF WORK

Under the overall supervision of the Technical Supervisor or Shop Manager, the Multi-Skill Electronics Repair Technician will:

Mobile Device Repair

  • Diagnose hardware and software faults on smartphones and tablets.
  • Conduct hardware replacements: screens, batteries, charging ports, motherboards, cameras, speakers.
  • Perform software services: flashing, unlocking, backups, formatting, and OS configuration.
  • Test all repaired devices to ensure full functionality.
  • Perform deep-level motherboard diagnostics using microscopes, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and schematic diagrams.
  • • Repair micro-components such as IC chips, power IC, audio IC, network IC, charging IC, and display IC.
  • • Fix board-level faults including short circuits, no-power issues, no-display faults, boot loops, and overheating problems.
  • • Conduct advanced soldering and reballing for BGA chips (CPU, GPU, RAM, and NAND).
  • • Restore damaged tracks, jump wires, replace connectors, and rebuild broken motherboard lines.
  • • Ensure board stability through final testing, thermal checks, and stress testing.

Computer Hardware & Software Repair

  • Diagnose and repair laptops, desktops, and All-in-One systems.
  • Replace and repair components such as RAM, SSD, motherboard, power unit, cooling system, and displays.
  • Install and configure operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Resolve software conflicts, network issues, and driver problems.

Game Console Repair

  • Repair PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, and handheld consoles.
  • Fix HDMI ports, overheating issues, power failures, controller faults.
  • Install firmware updates and conduct performance testing.

Customer Support & Technical Reporting

  • Provide clear explanations of technical issues and repair solutions.
  • Maintain accurate repair logs, parts usage records, and diagnostic reports.
  • Ensure that all customer devices are handled with care and data confidentiality.

Workshop Conduct

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe work environment.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and testing instruments are properly maintained.
  • Follow company repair protocols and quality assurance standards.

Specific objectives and scope of the tasks

The technician will provide technical leadership across T- TECH repair operations, including but not limited to:

  • Perform diagnostics and produce accurate repair estimates.
  • Conduct repairs across all categories with minimal supervision.
  • Validate repair quality through testing procedures before customer delivery.
  • Identify repair trends and recommend improvements to workflow and efficiency.
  • Assist in accessories installation (screen protectors, camera covers, hardware add-ons).
  • Contribute to process documentation and technical updates.
  • Support junior or newly assigned staff where necessary.

Key deliverables/expected outputs:

The Multi-Skill Electronics Repair Technician shall deliver:

  • Completed and fully tested repair jobs across all device categories.
  • Daily/weekly repair progress reports.
  • Standardized diagnostic and repair documentation.
  • Improved workflow efficiency and reduced repair turnaround time.
  • Contribution to training and skill transfer within the team.

Reporting arrangements and overall coordination

The technician will report directly to the Technical Supervisor or Shop Manager.

Coordination will be required with the reception team, inventory unit, and customer service staff to ensure smooth operations, timely updates, and quality control.

Employment Duration

This is a permanent position, subject to performance reviews and company operational requirements.

Competence and Qualifications

The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Diploma or certification in electronics, IT hardware repair, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in at least three of the following areas:
  • Mobile repair
  • Computer repair
  • Console repair
  • Camera repair
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage high repair volume.
  • Experience using soldering tools, microscopes, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  • High level of integrity, discipline, and respect for data privacy.
  • Fluency in English required.
