Focused on improving community well-being, JF implements programs in education, humanitarian aid, livelihoods, shelter and protection, health and nutrition, WASH, women’s and youth empowerment, community development, peacebuilding, and advocacy. JF collaborates with local communities, institutions, international NGOs, and development agencies to drive sustainable change and build resilience across Somalia.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Area Programs Coordinator located in Beledweyne, Hirshabelle state. The Area Programs Coordinator will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of various programs in the region. Responsibilities include managing program activities, monitoring progress, coordinating with local stakeholders, ensuring program compliance with organizational standards, and reporting on outcomes. The role requires close collaboration with local communities, partners, and team members to deliver impactful and sustainable results.
Qualifications
- Program Management and Project Management skills to effectively oversee and execute program activities.
- Strong Communication and Customer Service abilities to engage with stakeholders, local communities, and team members.
- Skills in Program Development for designing and enhancing impactful and sustainable initiatives.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience in humanitarian work or program coordination within a non-profit or development-focused environment is a plus.
